Dom Sibley scored over 4,000 first-class runs at an average of 41.55, including 12 hundreds
In Warwickshire, the new opener from England, Dom Sibley, signed a three-year contract extension.
The 24-year-old was the top run-scorer of the Championship with 1,324 runs this season, earning him a call-up for the winter tour to New Zealand.
Since rejecting a new contract with Surrey, Sibley moved to Edgbaston ahead of the 2018 season.
This summer he averaged 69.68, scoring five hundreds as Warwickshire finished second-from-bottom in Division One.
“Dom has had a wonderful year and we are pleased that he has put pen to paper and reinforced his long-term commitment to our plan to build another team that can regularly challenge silverware,” said Paul Farbrace, Warwickshire Sport Director
“He was the prolific batsman in the 2019 County Championship and proved to have the ability not only to score hundreds, but to dominate hundreds, with double centuries recorded earlier this year as opposed to Kent and Nottinghamshire.”
Sibley first made a name for himself in 2013 when he became the County Championship’s youngest double centurion in history, scoring 220 not out against Yorkshire for Surrey, aged just 18 years and 21 days.
